Birthday Girl is the solo moniker of Great Dad and Paddywak member Caitlin Power. Serving as a larger-than-life outlet for her left-field pop tunes, new offering 'The Rub (Speechless)' is a pocket-sized banger inspired by the day-today reality of living through a pandemic. Squeezing in tumbling synth lines, massive beats and addictive vocal melodies, the 1 minute (and 11 seconds) long track features a cooly delivered sung-spoken (verse?) before lifting into a choral (chorus?) then giving way to a brief harmonised breakdown.
